Dr. Niloufar Amintavakoli graduated from National University in Iran in 2009 and later earned an MSc in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in Canada. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

She worked in private practice in Toronto before joining New York University (NYU) in 2015 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Radiology, and Medicine. Dr. Amintavakoli was promoted to Associate Professor and served as Director of Oral Radiology while continuing her clinical practice. After realizing a desire for more direct patient care, she decided to pursue orthodontics and started her graduate program at Washington University. Dr. Amintavakoli found her passion in orthodontics as it allows her to make a positive impact on others by improving smiles and boosting confidence, while also offering the challenge of solving complex dental issues.

In her free time, she loves spending quality moments with her husband Siamak and their son Levin. Whether it’s traveling to new destinations, exploring local spots, or enjoying cozy family dinners at home, she finds joy in creating lasting memories with her loved ones.
